The Box Test above is a representation of an attic, displaying temperature difference between an application with Reflect-O-Tech's Radiant Insulation and one without.
Left side shows a laid down Reflect-O-Tech's Radiant Barrier Insulation over unfaced R-19 fiberglass insulation. After only ten minutes using infra-red heat lamps, thermometer reads 93.2 degrees. Right side shows unfaced R-19 fiberglass only. Its thermometer reads 152.5. There is a difference of 59.3, due to Reflect-O-Tech's Radiant Barrier Insulation ability to reflect radiant heat.
Heat from the sun can overheat a building in summer, and heat from a heater can escape in winter. It makes sense to have insulation that actually blocks heat, rather than slow it down. Reflect-O-Tech's Radiant Barrier Insulation is made to stop radiant heat. Fiberglass isn't.
